My favorite song is "The Adventure" by Angels & Airwaves, a fairly unknown band.
I can't put a finger on exactly why it is my favorite song, but part of the reason is because of the lyrics. The song is very deep, without being melodramatic and heavy. It's a very upbeat, sunshine-and-smiley-faces type of song.
One part I favor is when it says,
"Just as the four walls close me within/
My eyes are opened up with pure sunlight/
I'm the first to know, my dearest friends/
Even if your hope has burned with time/
Anything that's dead shall be re-grown/
You will be fine..."
I think the song lifts up my spirits when I'm lonesome and feeling blue.

My favorite song changes a lot but one that I've been holding onto for awhile now is by my favorite band The Spill Canvas called Bracelets.

There's a part in the song that I absolutly love that goes:
In this dream that I had....
"You can't kill heroes"-that's what we said to them
"You can't kill us"
With our instruments broken before us
And the boys in the line they begin to count to five
And the trigger pulls
The bullets pepper the brick wall behind our heads
And the smoke, it fills the air
The captain yells to cease fire
And the squad begins to wait and stare
As the dust clears the air, but we're still standing
With smiles on both our faces
We spit their faulty ammo to the ground
And remind them once again
you can't kill heroes

. . .
Another song by the same band I like is called The Tide. The chorus is my favorite part because it seems strangely uplifting:
Well, heaven's not a place that you go when you die.
It's that moment in life when you touch your edge and you feel alive.
So live for the moment.
And take this advice, live by every word,
Love's completely real,
So forget anything that you have heard,
And live for the moment now.

WOW. Ok, so this is probably the hardest blog I've ever had to do. My favorite song?..yea I cant even choose a top 10 let alone just one. Every week I discover a new band and every week I discover about 5 new favorite songs. I'm very opened minded when it comes to music, I don’t prescribe to any one label because where is the fun in that? So, in order to spare everyone from a 5o page blog and to maintain my sanity from trying to choose one song write about I'll just stick to a song that has always been a persistent favorite of mine. That song would be...
Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, o yes how can one not help but to love this song. Its creative, original… in fact those are simply understatements for this song, pure genius is much more fitting!
…haha :)

I must agree with Hooter, to choose one song would be absolutely impossible. My favorite band is Steely Dan and my favorite song would probably be one of theirs, however there are so many. One song though that really jumps out is "I've Got The World On a String" by Frank Sinatra.

ONE favorite song?? Never.
I, like many, get a "new favorite" every week. However, there is one song that always stuck out to me. I feel as if it could connect with just about anyone. Its simple, but meaningful.
The first time I heard the song "I Got Life" was on the old hippie musical, Hair. Of course my favorite character sang it. I will always love the song and the musical. It begins with...

"I got life, mother
I got laughs, sister
I got freedom, brother
I got good times, man

I got crazy ways, daughter
I got million-dollar charm, cousin
I got headaches and toothaches
And bad times too like you"

What did I tell you? It connects to everyone.

Wow, so i too struggles with this one and actually had to do some soul-searching in my iTunes library. However, I would have to say my favorite song would either be Drops of Jupiter by Train or Second Chance by Shine Down.

I like Drops of Jupiter because I simply love the sound of it. Also, it talks of a girl who went soul searching in the planets and a boy is asking her about it and reminding her of the good things in life. This reminds me of my own soul-searching I've had to do recently.

Can you imagine no love, pride, deep-fried chicken
Your best friend always sticking up for you
Even when I know you're wrong
Can you imagine no first dance, freeze dried romance, five-hour phone conversation
The best soy latte that you ever had . . . and me
Tell me did the wind sweep you off your feet
Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day
And head back toward the milky way

I like Second Chance because it talks about how even when you fall there's another opportunity to get back up and change. One part that has always stood out to me is:

Well I just saw Hayley's comet, shooting
Said "Why you always running in place?
Even the man in the moon disappeared
Somewhere in the stratosphere."

Talk about a challenging blog, my last playlist had at least 80 songs. But when it comes to music I really don't look at the meaning behind the lyrics but rather the rhythmic sounds but my momentary favorite is "Welcome Home" by Coheed & Cambria. It doesn't really hold any significance to me but it has some very unique guitar solos.

Hahaha, Bohemian Rhapsodie is great. But my favorite would have to be Indestructible by Disturbed. I think of it as my theme song. I listened to it as my pump up song during football and wrestling seasons. It made my blood pump and made me feel indestructible. I would kill people after I listened to it. It gives me an adrenaline rush. I love it.

One favorite song? Really? No!
I don't even want to post now!!
hahahaha. ;D
One of my various favorite songs is "Nothing Better" by The Postal Service.
It just makes me really think about my life, and I like that.

I really like "White Rabbit" by Jefferson Airplane as well as "Somebody To Love" and "I'm Leaving On A Jetplane" by Janis Joplin..

AHHH there's just too many!

I can't choose a single favorite song although I will say that my favorite band is Evanescence. I am pretty open to most music geners, except rap.
